Remembering Chaz Moore

Rest In Peace, young Chaz.

Saddened doesn’t even begin to describe my feelings after learning that medical marijuana patient and activist, Chaz Moore has passed away.

I first met Chaz over ten years ago, when he was about 15 or 16 years old. Despite his young age and his own significant medical challenges, Chaz and his family worked hard to fight for the rights of medical marijuana patients by challenging a broken medical and educational system… they bravely brought his story to the media, spoke at cannabis conferences and attended as many community events as possible. Chaz was an inspiration to countless medical marijuana patients, young and old.

Despite the fact that Chaz had grown into a wonderful young man and had become a loving father, I’ll always think of him as the bright, funny teenager that seemed wise beyond his years… a sweet young man that I came to know and love over the years as he worked with the community to fight for what he believed in.

My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. Rest In Peace, Chaz… I know I am only one of many who will never ever forget you.

Here’s a few of Cannabis Camera’s (never-before published) images of Chaz, taken about ten years ago, on June 11th 2011, when Chaz was speaking at the Green Leaf Expo in Colorado Springs.
